For some reason everyone kept thinking the necklaces made of broken glass were really nice but they were actually really ugly. Everybody said they were "nice pieces" but they really weren't. The ending is ridiculous. Why does the guy suddenly know what they're going to do before they even say anything. And worst of all, the maidens didn't even actually come from the moon. They were from the future. The main guy really didn't look like a scientist at all. And either Femaliens Starlight Saga took footage from this movie or Moon Maidens stole from femaliens because some of the shots were the same and that signifies poor production values. I think they really need to invest more money into these movies to make them Oscar worthy material. Because the story is REALLY interesting.

I saw "Moon Maidens" streaming on Tubi, since it's free to watch movies there.* The poster tells you pretty much all that you need to know about the movie. The whole thing revels in its absurdity. I don't know who any of the cast members are, so I'll probably forever associate them with this movie.

One thing to note is that the director is listed as Nicholas Medina. It's actually Fred Olen Ray. I wonder if he used the pseudonym as a reference to Vincent Price's character in "The Pit and the Pendulum".

Anyway, a totally silly movie. I suspect that they had fun making it, though.

*While I sometimes watch movies streaming, I still prefer to rent them from the local video/DVD store. After all, not everything's available on streaming.

A meteor, not from the moon, crash lands in the backyard of Max (Jeremy Holm) and Karen (Heather Vandeven). Max is working on the Orion Satellite project that will discover another planet. Karen comes back home early to discover Max in bed with Rita (Rebecca Love). Angry, she goes outside and discovers the meteor and picks up a blue glass shard which takes possession of her. She enjoys having sex and wants to obtain the plans. She gives shards to Rita and Carla (Christine Nguyen) so they can get naked too as all three of the women work to get the plans and save the future universe.

This is a short film of 43 minutes. It was edited from Frank Olen Ray's "Housewives from Another World" which was twice as long. Originally this was a longer softcore film with extended sex scenes. These were for the most part cut out. I would suggest skipping this film as it is half of the original.
