Emily Villarreal who plays Maddie, is a horrible actress in this movie. It's like she doesn't even move her mouth when she talks. All you see are teeth. So many better actresses could have played the part. I've never seen her in anything else but in this movie she's terrible. I could've done a better job blindfolded with a gag.
I don't understand how they pick some of these actors for these lifetime movies. Her best friend Layla and Kevin were ok. The guy that played Paul was a horrible actor as well. They could've picked a better killer in my opinion. He was creepy but his language felt so scripted. I felt bad for Jazzy :-(
At one point Maddie passes out in the middle of nowhere and comes home like nothing has happened. We don't know why or how. When she gets home, she plugs her camera into her computer with a smile. Like WTH. I hate that Kevin died. And Grace doesn't contribute much at all. She's there. She leaves and returns after everything has happened.
And why don't any of the actors in Lifetime movies ever turn the lights on or lock the doors? And when they are trapped in a room why don't they break a window and climb out? They just go upstairs and lock themselves in a room. Maybe I need to write a script and send it in.

I Talk but my mouth doesn't move
Bad acting leads the way
The guy playing Paul is about the worst actor I have seen on a Lifetime movie. Ok, that is not fair. Let's just say he acted poorly in this movie, of course the plot was pretty bad.
The only worse actor on a Lifetime movie I could think of is the woman that played the lead character in this very movie. I was not feeling it. This is for Rick, this is for blah, this is for blah blah. Come on, a bit enthusiasm please. However, she had great legs and is very pretty so she is OK in my book.
As for the movie, maybe I missed something as I was working while watching but how is it that the dead woman remains in the house and doesn't stink up the place? Any wouldn't dude's wife asked why she can't go in the locked room or also smell the rotting corpse. I mean he did say keep the room at 65, but maybe 32 would have been better.
Lifetime movies at least allow me to play along when guessing the killer and the motive and sometimes I am wrong, but there was none of that with this one.
