Disappear It Did, Along With My Patience

From the moment you read the title, My Love Will Make You Disappear, you already know the entire plot - and somehow, the film still manages to deliver less than expected.The story? As basic and overcooked as instant noodles left in the pot too long. Nothing new, no surprises, no depth. Just a slow, predictable descent into romantic clichés wrapped in undercooked "comedy."Paulo Avelino is many things - dramatic, brooding, sometimes even solid in thrillers - but comedy? This ain't it. His comedic timing is as off as the movie's pacing: flat, awkward, and painfully forced. The "funny" scenes land like a wet sponge hitting a wall. No laughs, just cringing and checking how much longer you have to sit through it.You keep waiting for something - anything - to happen that might justify the runtime. Spoiler: it doesn't. Even the emotional moments feel recycled and emotionally bankrupt.Bottom line: This movie should've taken its own advice and disappeared - from the release calendar.

Love it but mixed feeling

I love how the movie feels light and easy to watch, but for me... it just kind of exists. If you're a fan of both leads, you'll definitely feel giddy and thrilled watching them together-but if you're looking for emotional depth or layered storytelling, this might not hit the mark.Personally, I expected more-especially from the title. The plot had great potential, but I was really hoping they'd dive deeper into Jolo and Sari's individual stories. It felt a bit rushed, like there was more to tell but not enough time to tell it.I guess part of my disappointment comes from the fact that both of these amazing actors have delivered incredible performances before-like in Linlang and What's Wrong With Secretary Kim. So my expectations were kind of high. Maybe it's also because it's a movie, and there's only so much they can fit in without dragging the story.Still, I really hope they work together again in the future-but next time, in something more meaningful and emotionally rich. Something like Paulo Avelino's I'm Drunk, I Love You-that's my kind of film.But no hard feeling, I enjoy the movie either way!

MLWMYD

Light but it felt like a roller coaster. One moment you're laughing, then tearing up a little, then crying even more, and before you know it, you're laughing again. Absolutely a feel-good film. A must watch if what you want it is to come out of the Cinema just simply happy. Don't get too technical, you'd be disappointed if you'd come in with high technical expectations. Reason why I am rating 3 stars off for that improvement but neverless, still worthy. Cinematography is exceptional-well thought of especially all scenes with the rain and at the bridge. The colors and hues were perfect as well!
