Plot summary

Ali takes advice from a Carnival Gypsy.

This is not a Hallmark movie but it is made exactly like one. Two single adults are attracted to each other, then something comes about to wedge them apart, only for them to find true love by the end of the movie. It even has what my wife and I call the "Hallmark Kiss" during the last minute or two.Ali is a single lady in a job where she was a few months earlier told that she was in line for a promotion. She has a couple of close friends, one a mother of two, and they wander into the tent of a Gypsy at the local carnival. They think this is just entertainment but soon her seemingly outrageous predictions are coming true. One of them is that Ali would meet her soul mate, a man named John. Or that is what they thought she said, but the Gypsy has a very thick accent and is hard to understandSo her friends fix her up with every John they know or know about, over a hundred of them. Meanwhile she meets a fireman who is also an EMT. They hit it off very well but his name is not John. It is Sean. Hmmm...So all this plays out in a rather amusing manner. It is entertaining. My wife and I watched it at home on Free Vee, streaming on Amazon. What we call good fluff entertainment.

Friends?

It was an average off brand rom com. The main characters best friends were anything but.

They were demeaning, dismissive, and jerks. Especially the one that the main character was rooming with. They treated her like a teenager that couldn't be trusted because of past bad decisions. They basically pumped her out, made her feel bad for not being married with kids by her age (30, btw) and when she was making a career decision they tried to make her change her mind. They made me so angry and I almost turned it off. But I didn't, go figure!

The premise was good, both of the main characters were likable.
