Night of the Undead is a fun South Korean film, albeit silly.
It has a likeable lead in Lee Jung-hyun. So-hee hires a wacky private investigator, suspecting her husband of cheating. She not only finds out that he's humorously cheating with every girl in sight, heh, but that he's not quite human as well. So-hee and her friends try to no end to kill the unkillable husband, who has tried to kill her, while facing numerous obstacles along the way. There's lots of laughs to be had, but at the same time, the foundation isn't too strong and it does go off the rails some. Title not fitting, better than your average zombie flick though.

Not a zombie film.
Disappointing movie and so very, very boring...
Right, well as I sat down here late in 2022 to watch the 2020 South Korean sci-fi comedy "Jukji Anneun Ingan-Deul-e Bam" (aka "Night of the Undead"), I must admit that I was expecting this to be a zombie movie, given the movie's title.
So imagine my surprise when this movie was not a zombie movie, but instead a movie about some extraterrestrial being coming to earth and disguising itself as a man. Yeah, talk about a misguiding movie title.
And to make matters worse, then writers Hang-jun Jang and Jeong-won Shin managed to collectively dish out a script and storyline with about as much appeal as cardboard. This storyline in this movie was just so paper-thin that there hardly was any entertainment value to it. In fact, I even dozed off to Slumberland once during the nearly two hours that the movie trotted on for.
Sure, they had a good cast ensemble with some familiar faces. But it was a real shame that they virtually and literally had nothing to work with in terms of a proper script.
Not only was the movie something else entirely than I had anticipated, but it was also frightfully devoid of funny situations. So I wasn't event brought to laughs as I suffered through 110 minutes of the ordeal that is this movie.
If you, like I do, enjoy the South Korean cinema, give this movie a wide berth. It just simply isn't worth the effort.
My rating of director Jeong-won Shin's 2020 movie lands on a two out of ten stars.
a funfare ...
If youre into south korean comedy setups. its the local take on ''how to kill your immortal spouces, or mockinbirds etc'', quite funny, but a little bit slow due to the south korean hang to make the movies long, nearly 120 mins, chop it to 90 mins wouldve been perfect. i viewed a terrible english subtitled version, but the moviemakers has made an esperantolike, universal lookalike so youll understand the plot without having a clue what they say.
acting, score and some effects are great so a small recommend from the grumpy old man
