a new favorite

Okay, so i get it, there's probably going to be a lot of parents that do not like the jokes riffing on the attitudes of some parents, HOWEVER, Liza Treyger is so spot on with her observations and had a great delivery so hopefully people can laugh at themselves a little bit and not take it too seriously.I thought she was very witty. Also, her timing was good and the whole set seemed to flow really well.Of course, I couldn't personally relate to every single topic she joked about, but I don't think that's necessary to enjoy it still. And I did really love this special. She's now one of my top favorite stand-ups.

This is a great special if it hits its target audience

I would say I'm not the target audience which is why I rated it the way I did. However, I will say that I can see some of my friends really enjoying this special. The target audience would be millennials that are also well-versed in gen-z culture and spend a lot of time scrolling on their phones (primarily on tik tok or reels I'd say). There is some really funny content specific to this demographic and I certainly identify there to some degree. As much as this isn't my type of comedy, I can appreciate it. One thing you can take from my review is that even if it isn't your type of comedy, you will still have a good time watching this special.

Young Millennial Must See

Liza has an interesting blend of internet references and relatable family commentary comedy. She strikes a nice balance of quippy jokes with long set up punchlines. I especially enjoy her comedy about her aging Russian immigrant parents. While her explicit jokes might not be for everyone, (they are hilarious though) there is something for most comedy lovers in her set.You can tell she has been working on this set for a while because it flows well and her delivery is purposeful in its disjointed nature. Her stops and transitions serve a purpose in the joke and make it feel less like a comedy show and more like having lunch with a friend who is unloading all her baggage on you. Overall very happy with her special and hope she gets a couple more!
