To be fair, I don't know what's more hilarious. The movie or the fact that a handful of well-intentioned movie watchers expended the time from their lives (me included) to elevate this movie to a standard worthy of a "review."

Premise and ludicrous trashy plot logic aside, the look and feel of this movie left me wondering at times "Is this a real movie?" or an intentionally badly acted soap operatic parody of a pageant movie.

When the team of a few girls and parents decide that "there's not enough evidence to go the police" and they decide "let's play the video of the ambiguous encounter between the bad lady and the murdered person" at the hawty tawty event and embarrass a confession out of the bad lady, I couldn't help but laugh - and omg they were so lucky that the dad in the group is an expert on hooking that kind of audio-visual hookup. And guess what? It seems like this ALWAYS works in these Lifetime movies despite the fact that I've never heard of this strategy ever being employed in the "real world." It does make for a funny climax though...

Pfff, there have been some really terrific vicious (and hilarious) pageant movies in the past, but this is not one of them...

The bad: where to begin? Everything is below, WAY below average about this movie. But let's start with the actors. These are not movie actors, these are B or even C-listed television actors, with NO charisma or acting talents whatsoever.

More bad: this movie is titled "Nightmare Pageant Moms", but the moms are nowhere near nightmarish, they are incredibly bland and BORING.

Not any good then? No, absolutely not.

Better search Imdb for any other great (vicious AND hilarious) great movie that has been made in the past about these pageants, like one with Kathleen Turner for example titled: "Serial Mom" (1994).
