I sat down to watch the 2015 Thai horror comedy "Hor Taew Tak Hake Na Ka" after having seen three of the four predecessing movies in the franchise.

With the 2015 movie "Hor Taew Tak Hake Na Ka", I have to say that it was a somewhat lukewarm movie delivered by writer and director Poj Arnon. Sure, "Hor Taew Tak Hake Na Ka" is watchable, but it just wasn't as much fun as some of the previous movies. But of course with a franchise with numerous movies, some movies are bound to be more or less entertaining than others.

What worked out for "Hor Taew Tak Hake Na Ka" was the fact that some of the original cast were returning to reprise their roles, and they did some nicely. It has always been fun to watch the colorful characters in this particular horror comedy franchise. And it was especially nice to have actress Sundarat Butrprom return to the movie, though in a different role.

The comedy in "Hor Taew Tak Hake Na Ka" were somewhat stale. There were attempts at comedy, of course, throughout the course of the movie, but it didn't all play out as nicely or funny as intended I think. Writer and director Poj Arnon did manage to make me laugh a couple of times with this movie.

Ultimately, a watchable, albeit a somewhat generic horror comedy. And my rating of "Hor Taew Tak Hake Na Ka" lands on a bland five out of ten stars.
