Plot summary

Light, Predictable, but Hard Not to Enjoy

Pegasus is a well-produced and accessible comedy that plays it safe but wins with charm and sincerity. While the story of a disgraced racer seeking redemption follows a familiar arc, the film keeps things engaging with strong performances, upbeat pacing, and a touch of visual flair. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but it doesn't try to be. What it does offer is a light, polished ride with enough humor and heart to make the journey worthwhile. It's the kind of film that doesn't surprise, but leaves you smiling. A modest yet satisfying effort that knows exactly what it wants to be and delivers on it.

The story of zhang chi's pursuit of dreams and success, starring shen teng, moved me deeply, reminding me of my own way of pursuing dreams and causing me to think deeply.

Could be better

I gave a seven star more so because it is based on a true story, that alone touched me. Otherwise, it would be 5-6 movie. Pegasus tried to send a simple message about chasing your dreams. It also celebrated the life of a professional racer. It was fast paced, with more jokes in the first half while tensing up for the second half.I somehow hope they did not work so "hard" to make it funny, in other words, a comedy. I feel were it a regular drama, which it had enough materials for, I would have liked it more. The acting is somewhat missing too. The big shot competitor pretty much had no emotions or expressions. I can't say the other characters were bland, but they did not strike me, which I kind of expect given the story line.Overall a good story that could have been told better....
