It's been awhile since I have seen a good love story that I could watch from beginning to end. The chemistry was strong and the script was well written. I got the same warm feeling inside that I did from Love & Basketball. You want to root for them and their storylines are based in reality.
I love the nostaligia of the times in which the move was set as well as the feeling of watching young love unfold. The differences between the wealthy and commoners and the need to chase your dreams but also following your heart. Such a feel good movie with a few twist to keep you interested in it. Great job.

Loving someone isn't just about butterflies and rainbows
This movie really surprised me. I was prepared to watch teenaged psychos. Instead, this is a beautiful love story.
Kendra (Ajiona Alexus) is an aspiring young photographer from a working class family. She is attending an HBCU in North Carolina on a scholarship. There she meets the handsome young Ben (Da'Vinchi). Ben is from an affluent family. Despite their differing backgrounds and Ben's disapproving parents, they fall in love. Their love is challenged from the beginning, and they eventually have to make decisions that affect both their futures.
Alexus' and Da'Vinchi's on screen chemistry is palpable. This is a well written script, with a talented cast. This movie is well worth the watch.
Pleasantly surprised
Just finished watching this movie and had no expectations prior but this was a real love story...pretty good and pretty deep at times. The storyline was fair but it was the acting of the main characters that made this movie. Ajioni as Kendra was awesome and very believable and engaging in her role especially when she was at her lowest point portraying a victim of sexual assault. D'Arvinchi grew into his role and became a stronger character fairly quickly into the movie. I liked that I did not want the movie to end the way I did..hoping for the best outcome for the leading pair and watching the last part with a sinking feeling until I saw that there would be a continuation...I can't actually wait...I have have not said that about a movie for a long time...
