Plot summary

Could have been worse...

As I had never even heard about this 2024 horror movie titled "Rose's Last Session", from directors Jessica Claire Crosby and Cody Ottinger, prior to sitting down to watch it here in 2025, then I literally had no idea what I was in for, aside from whatever little information was shared by the movie's synopsis. However, given my love of all things horror, then I needed no persuasion to watch the movie.Writer Cody Ottinger put together a fair enough script and storyline. It is somewhat of a slow burn, and the narrative slowly builds up suspense, feeding the audience small bits and pieces as the story unfolds, keeping the audience in the dark and guessing.Now, since I was not familiar with a single actor or actress on the cast list, I have to say that it was something that spoke in favor of the movie. I do enjoy watching unfamiliar and new talents on the screen. The acting performances in the movie were fair.Watchable, for sure, but hardly a movie that warrants more than a single viewing, as the script just doesn't have the layers or contents to support more than a single viewing.My rating of directors Jessica Claire Crosby and Cody Ottinger's 2024 movie "Rose's Last Session" lands on a four out of ten stars.
