Awesome acting for Michael Rainey

I love Khandi Burris. I think her role should have been longer. Tank disappeared when his friend needed him the most. Where was the village? An all time great movie. It should be displayed on more watch channels. This happens to kids all the time when their only parent dies and they do not know their father. At least he had a step-dad although he gave up too soon. They started getting along shortly after. I'm glad he got to stay with him and found his biological grandparents too. He went from no family to his step-dad, his substitute mom (Ella Joyce) and his grand parents. They never said if Darrell stayed around or if Khandi did or if he ever painted his bedroom.

Blended Family Christmas

A Second Chance Christmas is a faith-based holiday film, centering on the bond that has to be built between a new stepfather and a stepson with whom he previously has not had a close relationship. Thrown together by unexpected tragedy and loss, suddenly Malcolm, the stepfather, and Lawrence, his stepson, must learn how to navigate their grief while also deciding if they want to be a part of each other's lives. Especially right now with so many children having lost one or even both of their parents and being the thrust into similar situations with stepparents and relatives, this is a timely holiday film that definitely tug the heart strings. But also, hopefully it will make single parents think carefully about how they pick and integrate life partners when they have young children - ideally before the marriage. The film is well made and enjoyable. And certainly thought-provoking.
