Plot summary

Ty, a misguided, one-of-a-kind designer sneaker, doesn’t know life outside the comforts of his velvet-lined shoebox. After his sister is stolen by a shady collector, Ty must venture into New York City to find and rescue her. In his adventure, Ty meets a ragtag group of footwear friends from all walks of life who help him find the courage to step outside of his shoebox and find his sole-mate.

not good but could be worst

Edson wins a pair of unique basketball shoes. The Collector is frustrated in losing the raffle and offers to pay the world for them. Edson turns him down and intends to wear them in a big basketball game. Shoes in this world are like the toys in Toy Story. This pair is Ty and Maxine. Ty wants to stay clean and pure while Maxine is excited to get into the game. The Collector refuses to let it go and tries to steal them. Ty is happy to go into the collection, but Maxine manages to escape.I don't mind the lower quality animation. The jankiness feels a bit like stop-motion and graffiti. It's not the most advanced or expensive. It does feel like it fits. I don't agree with Edson to wear the shoes. Here's my pitch. Make them worn in-game shoes from his favorite player. He thinks that they will give him powers from that player. There is an extra unnecessary character which muddles the premise. It's a cleaner story to leave it all on The Collector. There are problems here, but it's not anywhere near the worst movie of the year.

Laugh at the absurdity

This film was so bad, it was a fun and unique concept. Some people will enjoy the wariness of it, and love how strange the shoes are. Now, It's not a glazing 10, but to be honest you know what you expect, some fun, some charm, but that's it. And for what it was, it was a slice of light entertainment that'll tick over.The story evolves around are main character trying to find a strategic way to improve Basketball, the colours and the effects are done well, and the story is trying to Balance a villain and some much needed action, but the blend of fitting in and humour works nicely, not too bad, but it's fun for being silly and not trying to be super serious. But the emotional depth isn't too bad, and trying to fit in and trying to improve is a great learning journey for our main actor, played by Pearl Mackey, so it's fairly good.

As The SpongeBob movie quotes, "MY EYES!!"

This film will sit comfortably in the worst film of the year slot.It's a film that thinks it's smart. But in the end, comes off as a rip off of Toy Story, Secret Life Of Pets, but with shoes instead of other things.Animation is cheap and poorly done, voice acting is laugh out loud bad! Plot gets really dumb sometimes. And you got to remember, this is a movie about TALKING SHOES!! That gives you everything you need to know about the film. All the shoes are unlikeable and boring. It's clear this film had no real effort put into it!I don't give movies 1/10 or .5/5 that often, but when I do. That's when you know, it's not a good movie. And is entirely impossible to watch.
