I'll try to keep this short and let the documentary give all the real facts. I am a huge Cobain fan and have had suspicions about this entire investigation. This documentary has added to the strength of my suspicions and really is eye opening about how the case was handled. People need to watch this to see some cold hard proof that the case was handled poorly at the time. All that is really talked about is facts by using notes and recordings that were from people close to Cobain, including Courtney Love. There were some reenactments that didn't have real recordings that do take away some credibility since those parts can't be proved. That shouldn't take away from what was proved though. The recording showed some inconsistencies with the police report. The police chief at the time was even interviewed and said that the case should be reopened. This documentary by no means answered all the questions, but it raises some good points that should be investigated in the future. If you have questions about Cobain's death, definitely give this documentary a try. The private investigator provides a side to the story that really helps with some understanding and makes a lot of good points.

Plot summary
Twenty years ago, Kurt Cobain was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound to the head. The world was told it was a suicide, but evidence would lead many people to believe it might be otherwise. The film investigates the possibilities that exist that Kurt Cobain's death might not have been a suicide, that the Seattle Police Department rushed their verdict, and the global media perpetuated lies and misinformation fed to them by Courtney Love that created the belief in many that Cobain killed himself—but when revealed to be lies—lead many to now question what happened.

Raises some interesting questions that should rightly be answered
Soaked in Bleach is an intriguing, if slightly meandering docudrama on the death of Kurt Cobain that is still to this day shrouded in mystery. For a direct to dvd documentary i remember hearing nothing about back in the day, especially one about a subject as TMZ as this, i was surprised at how good the film looked, how well interviews were together and how close to the facts it was.
Though Soaked in Bleach comes in with a predisposition on what happened back in 1994, it puts it's case across rather well. The most insightful and interesting part of the whole documentary for me was how inept the investigation was by the Seattle police department into Cobain's death. They readily believed it to be a suicide based on tabloid news coverage alone, minus one forged missing persons form by Courtney Love, and if Soaked in Bleach is to be believed, conducted literally no investigation into the death and wrote it off as a suicide the same day they found the body.
This fascinating insight and several more are what you will find in soaked in bleach, a remarkably decent examination of it's subject and one that's well worth a watch for Nirvana fans and true crime fans alike.
Surprisingly Good
The film provides a look at inconsistencies in the death of Kurt Cobain (portrayed by Tyler Bryan), the lead singer of the American grunge band Nirvana, as seen through the perspective of private investigator and former police detective Tom Grant (portrayed by Daniel Roebuck).
I was skeptical going in to this one. First, I am not very susceptible to conspiracy theories. I tend to believe if the Cobain death was ruled a suicide, it was probably a suicide. But also, I have seen "Kurt and Courtney" so I thought the ground was already covered.
This is actually a better film that "Kurt and Courtney". Not as entertaining, because we don't have colorful characters like El Duce. But more informative. We actually have a thorough analysis from someone who was there, on the scene, within 24 hours of the death. This is must-see for anyone interested in Cobain.
