Sexy Thrill Ride from Start to Finish!!

A true auteur, I feel safe in Paul Thompson's hands. I loved the characters and pleaded that they make it out alive. Olivia Stadler has that unmistakable star quality. I would love a sequel or a sexy prequel so I could spend more time with Kate. The movie keeps you guessing right until the end and you can't look away. Scarlet DiCaro plays the ungrateful teenager perfectly. Allisha Pelletier is especially fierce in her portrayal. Aubrey and Corey give the audience a perfect voyeuristic conduit to the action.

Boring and uneventful...

Even without knowing what I was in for here, aside from whatever little information was given by the movie's synopsis, then I opted to watch "Stalkers" on account of it being a movie that I hadn't already seen.Writers Maryna Gaidar and Luke Sneyd put together a script that sounded way more interesting in the synopsis than what it turned out to be. The narrative is struggling severely with its slow pacing and with nothing interesting happening, and that made sitting through this movie quite a test of will.I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list, not that it was a bad thing, as I do enjoy watching unfamiliar and new talents on the screen. The acting performances in the movie were fair. There are far better and way more enjoyable thrillers out there, so I can't think of a single reason why you should waste 107 minutes on this one."Stalkers" was by no means a gemstone in cinematic history. Nor is it a movie that I will ever return to watch a second time.My rating of director Paul Thompson's 2025 movie "Stalkers" lands on a three out of ten stars.

A rather enjoyable psycho/thriller despite some issues

Tired of her lifestyle, a frazzled porn star decides to head home and become the guardian of her birth daughter, who's the only survivor of a massacre against her parents, but when she starts to be threatened by a deranged stalker must try to keep themselves safe.Overall, this was a fairly fun and enjoyable genre effort. One of the better features with this one tends to come from the strong setup that provides a strong immersion point into the rest of what's going on. Getting the kind of in-depth look at their lives from the beginning, where the mom is away in California shooting porn while the daughter is the sole survivor of a massacre back in her hometown, manages to strike a strong starting point for everything. With the revelations that arise from who she is when she comes back and tries to get back into her daughter's life, the way everything works with who she thinks she can trust, and trying to reconnect with each other as the series of locals they come into contact with start to interfere with these attempts. On top of that, the idea forces a series of intriguing and enjoyable enough stalking scenes involving the killer going around trying to take out those in her life. This makes for a great time as there's some strong stalking scenes including the opening assault on the family that leaves the daughter an orphan, the different encounters around the house as those that try to snoop around at what's going on thinking they have a celebrity in their midst before finding out that the killer is there waiting for them. This nicely sets up the fun finale where the true culprit comes forward and a series of intriguing battles take place around the house as they try to get away from them, as there's some strong stalking and more brutality than expected here, all making for a fun time. There are some minor drawbacks to be had here that hold it down. The main issue here is the asinine way it starts to spell out what's going on, making characters far more idiotic than necessary simply to introduce more bodies for the killer. Spending time with the girlfriend researching porn films against her will, spying on her running errands around town, or following her home to peep on her outside her window, yet it doesn't come off as realistic or logical to how it would play out. That extends to the actual revelation of the killer, which is based on such moronic reasoning that sets everything in motion, has very little that makes any sense why it would matter, and the payoff is reduced to a footnote that means little. Overall, these small factors are what bring this down.Rated Unrated/R: Graphic Violence and Graphic Language.
