Plot summary

Disappearing into a monkey costume and creating a new persona, Jane strives to break free from a toxic relationship when she encounters a suicidal radio show host, Roy, who presents a path to freedom. After hitting the open road in Roy's Airstream, the unlikely duo soon hatch a plan that could help finance a new life, but could also land them in jail. Hot on their heels is Jane's controlling partner, Wade, who aims to put an end to Jane's newfound freedom.

Brilliant, unusual

Brilliantly hard to define - comedy, drama, romance? Leaning into its strange concept with deadpan absurdity, exploring trauma, catharsis, and what lengths you might go to escape being yourself. The monkey-buddy movie you never knew you needed, but it turns out you definitely do. Already looking forward to a rewatch.

One of a kind

From the moment I saw the trailer for this film I knew that it would be great. Having now watch the whole film I'm glad to say that I was right.This is truly a one of a kind film that cannot be likened to anything else. The careful blend of ridiculous humour and thoughtful consideration of some heavy topics may leave you laughing and crying at the same time.This film will not be to everyone's taste and I'm certain that some people will just not get it but for those who do I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Daddy No legs..... I'm monkey through and through like a potato !!

I have been a Nina Conti fan for so many years. As soon as I saw she had a film out with her Monkey I watched it right away.Now this won't be everyone's cup of tea. But fans of Nina and Monkey will love it.I love the absurdity of it all. And the one lines are so out there you can help but laugh. They make no sense but they are funny.As for monkey, seeing him full size with that emotionless face is a little disturbing, it reminded me of a funny Michael Myers's from Halloween.Shenoah Allen was also great. Never seen his work before but his character was great.Good work both of you.
