Plot summary

Seventeen-year-old Ginia leaves the countryside in search of a new life in Turin. Restless and seeking adventure, Ginia soon finds it in the beautiful, enigmatic Amelia, whose sensuality and confidence embolden her to begin modeling for the bohemian artists in their circle. A whirlwind affair ensues, and the young seamstress finds herself swept up in an unfamiliar and exciting world of discovery.

Slow-paced and beautiful

This movie is slow-paced and captures the feelings of coming to terms with your sexuality well. I was hoping to see even more passion between the two women but we unfortunately only saw straight love-making and a few kissing and staring scenes between the women. The movie felt like a painting and it was directed beautifully, maybe that's all we need.

(Sexual) Awakening

No pun intended - the character may be 17 (allegedly), but I am certain the actress is or rather was an adult when this was shot. Now some may be a bit more sensitive to that nature, that's why I am pointing this out - because she not only will engage in ... love making acts, but also reveal her upper body a few times.So you have been warned - though also do not get too excited! This is not that sort of film. I am certain you will be able to find something along your liking if you look for that sort of entertainment. Back to this, the main character is getting her first glimpse of female sexuality ... which awakens something in her. Beautiful summer ... well it is not everything beautiful (the individuals themselves are very much so though).Well acted and the tension and drama are well balanced. With enough twists and turns to keep you interested ... also character decisions of course ... relationships and falling outs ... youth is wasted on the young? Well be that as it may ... they should enjoy it fully ...
