Plot summary

Takes place at the Passover and the days that follow the crucifixion. A mix of scripture and Christian legend woven to try and create a more complete picture. It follows Longinus as the Roman soldier who put the spear to Jesus on the cross.

decent

The last part of Quest trilogy deserves many critics. To ignore of Biblical accuracy of way to Emaus to the dialogues, not always more than didacticist moments.But , obvious, important for its makers was the message.And, maybe, not exactly a message, so familiar for Christians, than the remind of it.It is a film defined by touching scenes. By a sort of melancholia and well crafted encouragements. A simple story, a correct acting, not a demonstration of impressive skils of actors or great technology but a decent return to the Holy Scripture word.And, part surprising, it works just well.So, a christian movie. Decent, touching, useful, not the last.

Stretch

What a long stretch. It is advertised as a 'mix' of legend and scripture. You should never 'add' to scripture like this. It was going good until all of a sudden they merged the story of Longinus (and was he really blind?) with the Road to Emaus (Cleopas). How do you all of a sudden just change your name to fit the script? Then it was slow and boring and downhill from there. This is blasphemy to scripture and should not be considered a Christian film. In addition, discrimination for the down syndrome people by saying 'your kind' when he wanted him to stay behind. Not good. Stay away.
