A docudrama

The basis for this is the Dakoda War in 1862. The US Indian agent was stealing food that was supposed to go to the Dakoda, selling it, and pocketing the money. The Indians were starving. When the Governor was asked about feeding them, his reply was "let them eat grass." Enraged at this, they attacked the settlers, stuffing the mouth of the dead with grass. After Gen. John Pope's defeat at 2nd Bull Run in September 1862, he was sent to Minnesota to put down the rebellion. I agree that the production values, acting, were not the best, but this was made on a shoestring & was meant to tell a factual story, which it did. The events portrayed did in fact happen. I'd give a 6 rating for its factual accuracy.

What a Waste

Bad acting, bad writing, bad directing, bad costuming, bad scenes, bad everything. Don't waste the minutes of your life watching this.I tried hard to watch it, within the first 15 minutes I felt like I was watching a very bad reenactment at some tourist place. It did make me laugh out loud over the bad script and acting. Elementary school children could do better.
