There's a lot of realism, sad and painful, but the parody is definitely overdone. Plus, I keep seeing Michael, N.P. as Ed Helms in "The Hangover" movies. So it's hard to consider this a serious movie. The acting is entirely novice. I watched til the end so I gave it a 4 star rating.
Plot summary
A comical nurse practitioner who treats his patients in an unconventional way, is challenged by a tough and stubborn patient, but is determined to show him the bright side, even when the end is so close.

The Elephant is real, but . . .
Really?
I stopped watching when THIS happened. A five-year-old boy dies of an aggressive cancer and they're all grieving at the nurses station. Not 10 seconds later they all start giggling because the NP is dressed in pajamas, as they all were, to celebrate the child's life. He then does a strip tease. WTH. Wrong on EVERY level. If this is how the medical profession handles grief they ALL need to see their own psychologists!!
