"The brain is a big problem"
A story set in England about reviving Nazi soldiers frozen since wartime definitely sounds like a standard B movie plot but there were things I liked about the movie. Filmed in 'Eastmancolour' some of the visuals were strong like the arms on the wall, and particularly the head on the table. It's not dull to look at all. The acting is variable but not distracting, though beautiful Anna Palk undoubtedly is as she walks about in her flimsy night attire. Dana Andrews perhaps shouldn't have tried a German accent but he is solid enough in the lead as the troubled scientist. The psychic powers of Elsa's head is chilling and the last line of the film is creepy but sadly affecting at the same time.
Worth watching with the director Herbert J. Leder 's film of 1967 called 'It!'. Neither masterpieces but interesting enough.
