As far as sports documentaries go, it's pretty middle of the road. I don't feel there's enough story here to warrant an hour and 40 minute runtime. However, the worst part is the misleading title. I guess they were trying to be cute, but the story has nothing to do with identity theft. As someone that remembered Mustain and didn't know what happened to him, I was expecting a somewhat interesting story about him, but it was pretty much just a retelling of his high school and college career that's not terribly uncommon. I suppose if you're from the area or into Arkansas football, you get more enjoyment out of it, but for a sports documentary, there just isn't enough of a compelling story here.

Mediocre Documentary with Horribly Misleading Title
Underwhelming
Huge football fan. This is an interesting story of what happened to a big prospect . But it's not identity theft. Filmmaker took the wrong angle in my opinion. This is another straw man argument of why an athlete didn't pan out. "He's the victim of our culture." I don't like that scapegoat. He grew up, life is hard, sports are competitive. We know. What's the message: If only adderall could have saved him?... hard eye roll.
Interesting if You Are a Hog Fan
I'm sure this didn't tell the whole story of the conflict between Nutt and Malzahn. Malzahn's star was on the rise and Nutt's was falling and Mustain and the Springdale 5 kind of got screwed over in the whole thing. I wish Nutt, Malzahn, and Beck Campbell would have done interviews.
As for Mustain, he just seemed like he was trying to please too many people and forgot about himself.
