Plot summary

Just bad

I usually like this series but this episode was awful. It started out ok but the end was so bad, some of the acting was terrible. I was very disappointed in this episode. I know you can do better. The explanation at the end was so unbelievable, is this the best you can do?It started out good, but then the end just didn't fit with the story line. Someone dies and you don't report it, even though it was not on purpose, come on! Who does this? And these are supposedly educated people. Don't waste your time on this episode, I hope the next one is better if there is a next one. Not sure I will watch.

I loved the Poe theme that was carried throughout.

I love Edgar Allen Poe, so I really enjoyed this Jane Mystery with it's Poe Fest backdrop. I even thoroughly enjoyed the songs with Poe themes like the tell tale heart.An old college boyfriend from Jane's past resurfaces with a photo that looks to be of a masked figure putting a body in the trunk fifteen years prior. Jane ropes the righting wrongs group into investigating, but they run into some immediate stumbling blocks in that all the reported missing persons from that time have been found.Jane goes undercover at her former college as a vocal instructor preparing a class for the upcoming Poe Fest and to do some digging.I loved the atmosphere of the Poe Fest, which was my favorite part of this episode...making it my favorite Jane Mystery to date. While still not my favorite Hallmark mystery, I am enjoying seeing where this one goes and it is certainly different than the others.
