I've watch worse movie.

This has flat characters across the board. There is zero character development. The dialog is mediocre and the delivery is not great. There is little reason to care what happens to these people.

The sheriff blaming a mysterious break in on Mexicans crossing the board is unnecessary. A big take away is that everyone in Texas needs to have a gun, no particular reason since guns don't play much of a role.

I'm sure it plays well for the xenophobic Texans.

But the ending is what really sinks it. Completely random. Bad special effects. Zero resolution.

Watch if you're bored but do not expect to feel satisfied with any part of whatever this is.

It's hard to put a new spin on this old story. This time they did though. It's not the worst movie of it's type, and not the best. It's certainly watchable. The acting is a bit on the average side.

What can I say, I can see why it was not released until 7 years after filming. Perhaps they thought it might get better with time?

Alien demonic possession movie complete with a UFO. OMG I watched it to the end and it got sillier as it went along, perhaps a reedit?

No real character development although I liked Grandpa!!!

Save yourself the pain and give this one the flick. 2 stars due to incidental music only which I liked. The special effects should have been redone they were dated and terrible. You have been warned.
