The Review Of The Nurse That Saw The Baby On The Highway
Short and decent.
The Nurse That Saw the Baby On the Highway is interesting. The film is not as bad as others claim it is, but with its short running time of less than an hour, the film does seem padded. I guess the scenes with the lead eating Cheez-Its, walking around semi-nude, and having sex with her boyfriend counted as character development? If these scenes were deleted, the film would have ran no more than thirty minutes.
Since the film had ultra-low budget production values, I can accept the sometimes criminally bad photography. What gives this movie an edge is an inspiring Psycho finale. Hey! It worked for me.
Low effort on low hanging fruit
This movie takes from a real life event. And even with that starting point they somehow packed so much filler in a 48 minute program. Opens up with multiple "love" making scenes yet has no time to get better b roll or establishing shots. It does nothing with the material given except for become redundant with random facts of the case to remind you of the much more compelling story it takes from. Director seemed confused about what kind of movie he wanted to make, some parody, some thriller, some random horror tropes with filming, and none of it works. Also said director co stars as boyfriend in the movie which ended up making the opening "love" scene that more sleezy.
Directing is everywhere, acting is amateur, script is non existent and just word jargon to push us along the already framed story. Seems like a cash grab by an unoriginal person/conpany who don't respect it's audience.
