A movie that deserves a lot more recognition

I went in with little to no expectations. Uknown movie, unknown actors, low score. Yet here I am, writing my first IMDB review because I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It's definitely not a hollywood movie..

The acting is natural, the humor is witty and not forced, the drama is tactful, in my opinion. The cinematography is refreshing and I really really enjoyed the angles, grading and framing. It's a stark difference from the modern "shove CGI down their throats till they like it" approach. The cinematography conveys a lot and if you can appreciate such things, you will love the movie too.

Overall, nothing remarkable happens and yet, I can't help but want to watch it again and relate again.

stick with it

Don't give up on this film in the first half hour. It seems to be headed toward a very predictable end but it will fool you. It's a very 'real life' story without easy explanations and predictable resolutions. I won't go into any details of the film but will say that the two lead actors, Matt Angel and Morgan Taylor Campbell give terrific performances of two young people trying hard to find their place in this world. Definitely worth watching.
