Honestly, we watch a lot of movies. And we loved to be inspired to hope at the end of them, but this movie, as GOOD as the acting was (the best Christian acting i've ever seen), did not help us or inspire us to hope. Do not watch if you are facing an illness of your own, especially cancer and do not watch if you believe in miracles. I won't go into great details but we believe in miracles, we believe in God's healing power, but this movie never once mentioned Jesus. It did quote scripture, it does talk about God, but at the end, it feels more like a lesson in grief than it does a lesson in belief.
Plot summary
The film, based on the William Sirls book, follows a small-town pastor, his wife and their sick child as a mysterious man is sent to give them hope. Sirls adapted his book for the screen, writing the screenplay with Aviv Rubinstein and Richard Clark Jr.

Don't Watch If You Believe in Miracles
A beautiful movie. The world needs more of these.
Without a doubt, Louis Gossett Jr.'s BEST movie ever. Everyone did such a great job. Thank you for showing the beauty that is God's Love...... even when we don't get what we want.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39.
Silly Movie
I'll take science, Alex. Yet another silly, poorly acted and poorly produced fairytale for grownups who simply cannot face the fact that there is no sky daddy.
You're cured. It was sky daddy. You're not cured. Sky daddy works in mysterious ways or had other plans.
You have to constantly brainwash and fool yourself. That's what "faith" is. Believing in silly nonsense and constantly talking yourself into it. Making you nice and malleable... And guillible. You'll believe anything. Opium for the masses!
