Plot summary

Matthias Duval is in love, but he can't choose between the two twin sisters Betty and Liz Kerner. To pick up the two sisters, he invents his own twin brother and will play both characters.

Delightful sex farce based on premises that do not stand up to a moment's scrutiny. Matrimony, bigamy, and adultery are airily treated as fun, carrying no dreary consequences. Beautiful girls surrender in an evening, and are happy to share their lovers. All enjoyable fantasy.One relationship in the film does have hints of reality, however, which is that of Matthias with his long-suffering and loyal secretary, Evie. As the story unfolds, kisses on the cheek become kisses on the lips and handshakes become hugs. This could be innocent affection, until at the end we learn that her child is Matthias' godson. As well as this ecclesiastical link, can we draw the implication of a biological link?Cronenberg's "Dead Ringers" had identical twins sleeping with the same woman, but that moved into increasingly dark territory and ended very badly. Robert's breezy fairy tale skates over profundities, leaving the hero to enjoy the beds and bank balances of the two princesses.

Funny Comedy Farce. It's What Movies Use to Be Pre-2010's.

Movies like this used to play regularly in the USA. Kids could look at it and enjoy and parents and adults can look at it for the jokes.

It's about a con-artist who is pretending to be twins to date twin sisters. It's sexy, fun, hilarious, and sometimes a bit of a farce.

It's like a Steve Martin movie to us in the USA. Same type of comedy vibe. It's all made for fun and hilarious situations come up as his lies unravel, but you pull for the main character because you were with him in his journey of lies.

Does he find happiness? Maybe.

I give it a 9 out of 10. If you want good entertaining comedy and want something easy to follow and fresh to watch, give it a shot.
