Plot summary

Laura Price is a successful San Francisco lawyer on the cusp of promotion – a far cry from her childhood growing up on a tropical island with best friends Chip and Gem. When the firm’s biggest client – Chip’s grandfather – asks Laura to travel to the island and deliver a contract to make Chip his heir, she leaves behind her practice and fiancé Owen to convince her childhood friend to sign a contract that will make him a billionaire.

Not bad at all

I don't understand why anyone would watch a Romance movie knowing they aren't going to like it, or be overly critical. The low ratings come from them. I didn't mind this movie at all. It's not meant to be a great movie, but light entertainment. Not sure what the big deal with the accent was. Just watch it for its entertainment factor.

I'll stay right in the middle of the vicious '1' reviews and the gushy '10' reviews, minus 1 for the accents and corny drama.

My title says enough for my opinion, but I will add that many of the tropical background scenes appeared to be fake. They reminded me of the technology offered by Zoom to enhance the background on video calls.
