First story, with the kid and the Navy Seal father: After the home invasion and the young black boys mother is killed by gunshot, he tries to jump back in time with his sphere device to save his mother, as seen in the tale he always fails and is always brought back to where he lay unconscious on the floor next to his dying mother. After a few tries he understands that he cannot "change the timeline." He gives up and is taken by the police. This is where you can connect the dots when you see his "Navy" father return to the house with police lines across the door, as you can guess from the start of this first tale when the little boy read in the newspaper that his father had vanished you can connect that his father is actually a picture of his future self, so he is actually the one in the picture frame with the boy and mother. You can see that once the boy is taken with the police that he moves on with his life and he enlists, years later to return to the house and keeps trying to turn back time again to when he first "found the sphere machine." However, he is unable to alter the course of his timeline and always ends up in the same situation with his mother dying and him being enlisted. The only part that is hard to explain is the photographs of his father, the boy and the mother. I am 100% sure that the boy is the father in the photograph though and that they are supposed to represent each other as himself during different times. Also notice when the boy finds the sphere for the first time that he finds letter from his "Navy" father never opened, I asked myself why they were just never opened and stored away, if you think about it you can see that its actually the boy who wrote the letters to his address after the incident during his enlistment and since his mother who is dead in the timeline isn't there to read them and he himself is actually the Navy guy no one is actually there to open and read them. I know it doesn't make perfect sense but this movie isn't on par with other AAA titles like "Inception" so there are a few potholes in the writing, this is just my interpretation on the first tale. I actually only watched the first 2 tales by the way which also led me to the conclusion of there is no changing "your timeline."

What I expected, a series of tales and not a full cinematic experience.
I wanted more of the kid and his navy father? But that acting is crap
As soon as the first segment ended and showed no continuity, I stopped watching. Someone for the love of god take that first "piece" get a decent cast and make an entire movie or mini series based on it. I actually wanted to know what the hell was going on with the father's arms. If you're gonna watch this (bad acting aside) stop as soon as you see the yellow hooded figure like I did and just make your own fanfic based on it. 1 point to acknowledge the film 1 point for the concept of the first "piece" 1 point for the back to the future references
Solid B- student film
For a low budget student film, it's not half bad. OK, maybe a little more than half bad. If would be best to waste an hour and 15 minutes of your life on something else.
