I can't stop watching it - it's so bad.
The narrator drew me in with her "English" use of whilst, but with a flat standard American accent. It is British, given that when money is discussed, they use pounds, not dollars.
This is truly SO BAD!! WHILST (sorry) first wife, Samantha Lewes, was mentioned a few times, every photo that was said to be of Samantha was actually of current wife, Rita Wilson. That is a serious WTF.
I'm 15 minutes in and realized my face has been pinched up the entire time, it's SO BAD.
It's mostly watching a young Tom Hanks being interviewed - which is interesting to a degree. But there is SO much of it.
I don't usually do this but, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME - unless you want to study how NOT to do a documentary.
Plot summary
From humble beginnings to an aspiring thespian to acting as some of the world's most iconic and notable characters. He has picked up a reputation as 'America's Nice Guy', 'The Everyman' and a nomad of the arts. But we all know him... as Tom Hanks.

It really is as bad as everyone says it is.
Oh my. Has anyone told Tom?
This is a horrible attempt at documentary film making. It honestly reminded me of an educational film from my elementary school days...which were in the 1960s. The narrator or narrator bot is the only thing with a future and that's only because she is either a robot or an automaton wannabe who will thrive when the artificial intelligence overlords take over. Ya know, next year.
Honestly, I suspect this is a film done entirely by artificial intelligence and, for the record, as with much of life these days intelligence is lacking..along with decent writing, interesting facts or even meaningful movie clips.
It's just bad.
The badness cannot be understated
Unbelievably poorly produced. If it was a 15-year-old girl and she's doing the voice over and it was for a high school project and then I give her a pass.
Outside of that, whoever made this should stick to being a barista.
And now I must BS for several hundred more characters in order to post this review about this incredibly awkward and ridiculously juvenile attempt at making a documentary about Tom Hanks.
In other news, I just watched Forrest Gump for the 27th time and the moment when he asks if his son is smart still gets me. Still gets me real good after all these years. It's a crying out shame that movie only gets 70% fresh on rotten tomatoes.
