Plot summary

Welcome to Pine Hill follows Shannon, a recently reformed drug dealer, now working as a claims adjuster by day and bouncer by night. When Shannon receives earth-shattering news, he is compelled to make peace with his past and search for freedom beyond the concrete jungle of New York City.

Having trouble sleeping? Watch this film.

It was the cinematic equivalent of Z-Quil. I had high hopes for this movie. So I started it while I was working out on a rowing machine. I figured it would take my mind off my exercise. Wrong. This movie was so boring I started looking around the room for a diversion. Absolutely nothing happens. I finally gave up after 30 minutes. Slow moving doesn't do justice in describing it. About the only thing that happens is the lead pukes his guts out a couple times. And we're treated to a closeup of the toilet bowl filled with blood! Nice, eh?Beyond the fact that almost nothing happens, the acting is horrible. And the script was terrible as well. About the only thing good going for the one was the cinematography. Actually, I take that back. That was pretty pedestrian as well.So the next time you need to get some rest, watch this movie.--MovieJunkieMark.

Quiet Powerful Moments

There are moments of power in this film - unbelievable power. And there are scenes of emotional intensity and sometimes they are quiet. This is the result of casting non-actors and letting life fall into narrative.

It can be truly wonderful to watch.

I throughly enjoyed the film, a tribute to the Director's friend who passed away suddenly due to cancer.

Liffe can end so quickly and this film attempts to honestly show what happens when you discover that your days are numbered.

A very exciting film to watch. And hopefully the future of filmmaking. Micro budget but with real beautiful moments proving that you don't need millions of dollars to make something worthwhile.
