Plot summary

Great Britain. 150AD. When four messengers sent by Rome to a plague infected Caledonia, with a message of peace and help for their King, go missing Rome has no choice but to send ten of their finest across Hadrian's Wall to find and bring them back. Led by their Captain, Domitius, (George McCluskey, "The Zombie King"), and two of their strongest warriors, Grackus, (Stuart Brennan, "Risen") and Nerva, (Mark Paul Wake, "Plan Z"), the legion soon realise that what lays in wait for them is something much worse than any plague or army known to man - And with them being picked off one by one on their journey back to the wall by a beast none of them can match, and survival being their only hope, will there be anyone left to warn Rome of the dangers it may now face. Fight For Rome. Fight For Caesar. Fight To Survive.

What did the romans do for us?

When you look at the DVDs/Blu Ray for sale in Asda, Sainsbury, Tesco entertainment department, you might glance down at the lower shelves and see some obscure unknown title in the £3-7 range and think nahhhh I will wait for it to turn up on Movies4Men 2. This was a rare occasion to see one of those type of releases on a cinema screen. The opening tells us that many myths are based on fact, and this story relates a small troupe of soldiers looking for missing soldiers past Hadrian Wall. The story could have been handled better, but the director and scriptwriter had no idea how to write dialogue and how to get the unknown cast to deliver the words in a credible style. The cast is too small and all we is them in a line walking in woods across the screen, or in a pack in close up in virtual darkness.By the time the final revelations came, it was a case of oh ok, we must be near the end. The only plus point was vomit in beards. Wait for it premiere on a cable station instead of traipsing to the cinema, or purchasing the DVD.

Garth Marenghi made a werewolf film

Firstly, I agree with everyone else. The core concept behind this is great.... however the execution is awful.

Watch Garth Marenghi's Dark Place and then watch this. I think my favourite bit of terrible sound editing is split between the generic crackling fire sound or when they bang their swords against their wooden shields to a metallic CLANG noise.

At the end (spoiler) a woman randomly turns up and delivers the solution behind what has been going on, in a way that has blatantly been dubbed on in the post edit to try and tie things together.

Never been more glad of my cineworld membership, my history loving boyfriend came out laughing manically
