Plot summary

Yuku is a young mouse who lives with her family in the cellar of a castle. Her grandmother passes on the family values by telling her timeless folk tales. Injured in a tussle with a cat, the old mouse is bedridden and she tells her children that she will have to leave them to follow the little blind mole into the Earth’s tunnels. In one of her grandmother’s storybooks, Yuku learns that the flower of the Himalayas can bring her eternal light. She leaves on a journey of discovery to find the flower.

Perfect

I try to choose movies for my 7 yo that has soft colors, slower movements on screen and story shouldn't scared her. So this movie was just perfect. Story is about courage and friendship and music is very good. I was so surprised that the tension in the story was given in such a way that it smoothly passes to a happier scene.

Lovely

A charming tale for children aged 5 to 10, with a beautiful pseudo 2D pictorial technique and gentle, understandable songs that are well integrated into the story. Endearing characters, a linear story that's easy to follow, no violence, villains who are more nice than mean - but one main theme, death, requires the presence of an adult ready to answer questions from young viewers.A cartoon for children whose parents are looking to develop their artistic, interpersonal and introspective skills.This is a world away from the noisy, exciting, manichaean productions based on tiresome humour of the big names in animation.
