Really enjoyed the parts with Kelly Thompson

This was a really neat documentary about Florida horror films. Seems like a lay up as far as the who's who roster of talent they interview in this film.

Kelly seems like a surprisingly good sport for the things she endured especially in a day and age when people tend to double back on their duties and work like Stormi Daniels or others who later realize they regret their work because of public opinion of the moment has changed.

John Miller portion of the documentary was really sad. It would be great if they started to work things out and be friends.

I had to view this on a torrent site as it is extremely hard to locate a physical copy from what I have gathered.

A good documentary on the Florida indie horror scene.

Blood, Guts and Sunshine takes on a two hour journey with some of Florida's greatest indie filmmakers. From early filmmakers like Herschell Gordon Lewis (Bloodfeast, 2000 Maniacs), Joe Dante (Gremlins, The Howling) to modern ones like Sean Donohue (Naked Cannibal Campers, Death-Scort Service) and Chris Leto. There's also interviews with actors and actresses as well as special effects people.

We get a lot of interesting insights into the Florida film scene as well as some cool stories and film clips. I always enjoy documentaries that are done in this style. It sometimes helps you decide what you want to search out to watch next.

This documentary also reminds us that director Bob Clark (Porky's, A Christmas Story) started out in horror. He's responsible for giving us Black Christmas and Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things.

Be sure to check this out! I didn't scratch the surface on who all you'll get to learn about.
