A nuanced take on a pressing issue! This film reminds of the GREAT 90's independent films in which directors made films that brought emotional realism to the forefront, while harnessing an aesthetic of sincerity. I particularly liked the peripheral characters such as the father and the monologue he had with his daughter. This scene crystallises the ways in which each character in this film both exhibit flawed but redeeming qualities. I won't give anything away, but this film definitely landed the ending and tied everything together, which is no easy task. I can't wait to see what this director dies next!
Plot summary
A driftless young woman discovers she's 11 weeks pregnant and has only 24 hours to make a consequential decision. This charming and meditative film examines how softly life moves, even in our most urgent moments.

A nuanced take on a pressing issue!
A messy, endearing, American "Amélie"...
Loved the beauty of the pictures, this comedy-drama really shows Los Angeles in its best light and colors! The characters and the story feel authentic, touching, charming. A perfect cast to deliver this heartfelt story. Quite a timely topic too, giving us a much needed glimpse at the simple reality of unwanted pregnancy, far from the extremes and politics. A very down to earth approach, staged in a typical Californian beautiful background, highlighting the importance of your environment in such life-changing moments. Can't wait to see what director/writer Sophie Galibert will come up with next!... Bravo and thank you!
You wanna watch a waste of space kill their child?
Well that's what you're gonna watch, a waste of space female and her just as waste of space fling create a child and she decides to kill their child because he/she is "inconvenient" while he doesn't care less. On top of that it's just a really boring and drawn out movie that get you no where, she discoverers that she is pathetic and being pathetic she takes the pathetic path, the end. Okay? Is that it? Well I guess the director likes "motivation" sarcasm* if you like drama that has no end because the character doesn't grow then this movie is for you. No wonder there is only two other "reviews" probably the film crew lmao.
