The visuals were good. The acting was good. It has some nice creepiness to it. The story, or lack of a cohesive one, spoils the whole thing.
This movie leaves too many questions unanswered.
Why did the mother throw her daughter from the window? If she was mentally ill why was she permitted to remain with her family after such an act?
What did the father plagiarize that was so bad his editor committed suicide?
What entity was haunting the house and why?
What was the mask, where did it come from?
Why take out insurance policies on your family if you're just going to commit murder/suicide?
Why introduce a character that offers to help (the dude at the funeral parlour with the business card) if you're not going to use him?
What was the importance that the child victims were all adopted?
The entire movie felt like important background ended up on the cutting room floor.

Nice visuals
Good Story with Tense Moments
I thought it was very tense at moments, and the acting was really good. The story was really interesting too, it had a little bit more to it than a regular haunted house story. It was much creepier too. I thought the acting of the female lead especially sold it.
Although I felt the ending was a bit much with house intense the rest of the film is. The relief was needed for me to get the full enjoyment of the rest of the story.
I know the budget wasn't the highest, but overall I think they did very well with it. And I think the story was good enough that you don't mind. Even with the couple of holes here and there.
Unfortunate Low Budget
I really, really liked the ideas for this film from the mother's struggle with resentment of being a wife and mother, to mixed feelings about her adopted daughter, and wondering how much is in her head and how much is supernatural.
The mystery with the CEO and the family that lived in the house prior is also intriguing.
But the budget is SO LOW it looks like a soap opera. You almost have to be a Korea-phile or a hardcore lover of Korean cinema to get past it. I'm really picky about atmosphere so unfortunately I couldn't just stop noticing it.
I do watch quite a number of Korean films though so I stuck with it. I wouldn't blame other people for not doing so, no matter how interesting the story might be.
