I did see an article where the comic thought this special would cancel him. There are plenty of laughs throughout. I think it was a bit too long clocking in at 88 minutes but it wasn't boring.
This is probably one of the best approaches to discussing some of these topics that I've seen. That's not to say... most people that would be triggered instead of discussing will probably watch 30 minutes of this special and turn it off before the meat of the special comes.
It'll be interesting to see where this guy takes his career. I'll be paying attention.
Plot summary
Daniel Sloss discusses a variety of topics, from his love of children, to being a man, in this tastefully dark comedy special.

Not a bad special...
Not bad at all.
I watched this just the other night. I actually turned it on by accident and was pleasantly surprised. His jokes were funny and timely. Be warned he does use British idioms that will throw the less worldly off, but don't be turned away by that you will still get the joke. He does pull a bait and switch at the end to talk about the serious subject of rape.
Absolutely brilliant, in clear Daniel Sloss fashion!
Obviously this not your standard comedy special, but that is the beauty of it. Daniel Sloss has very clearly established this unique style in his three comedy specials, and there is no doubt he cares deeply about explaining why you can and should try and find humor in life's most difficult moments. I absolutely love his style of comedy, and for me he is right up there with CK, Gervais, Burr, Jeffries.
