An Enigmatic Japanese story!

Wow! What an amazing movie. I became totally engrossed with the amazing dancing and murder intertwined with the plot. The scenery, landscapes, and architectural vineyards had my jaw dropping the entire movie. It felt like painful love pulling on my heartstrings every time I saw mystery linked with the Japanese family. At times, I ultimately felt a bit curious, a question begging to be answered; Why are all these people falling in love with Kate, then painfully killed? Also, why does the second generation follow the same scenario. Are they cursed? Such a unique movie, especially the walnut scene ;)

Probably the worst Asian film I've seen

As someone who's familiar with both Asian and Western cinema, this movie was incredibly disappointing. I, an American, watched it with a friend from mainland China, and neither of us could follow most of what was happening. The lead actress shows absolutely no emotion throughout the entire film-honestly, a robot could have played her role, and you wouldn't have noticed a difference. Yet, somehow, every character she meets falls head over heels for her. Why? I found myself laughing at the dialogue, but not in a good way. The same monotonous score plays over and over again, making it even more unbearable. Easily one of the worst films I've ever endured.
