I read the book a long time ago, and from my recollection I do not think this has anything to do at all with the book, does it? I remember the book as funny, and let me tell you: This film is anything but funny. It is downright sad.
BUT: It is fantastic in it's sadness. I almost cried. And I recognized so much of my own youth, and so much of myself today. Yeah, I was exactly there in the 70's. Right there. Hurting.
The acting is tremendous, especially from the kids who make up such a big part of it. Rheborg does a superb interpretation of an adult, trapped in himself as a boy.

Absolutely fantastic!
Good and sad
A touching movie about the rough climate at a school and neighbourhood in the 70s where the adult world is failing to see, help or care. Based on the biographical book from a Swedish comedian named Jonas Gardell which gives it depth. It's an energy-taking watch due to the seriousness and discomfort from the story but a good film if you're in that mood!
Good and well acted
I liked the movie and I thought the acting was good. And I'm picky. I read the book when I was growing up and it made a huge impact on me. While the movie doesn't quite reach that level of genious as the book, I liked the adaptation. Johan Rheborg portraits the grown up Juha well and with a fingertip feeling. All actors, even the children, acted well and that's because of a fine new up coming swedish director Rojda Sekersöz. I liked the footage as well. Looking forward to see more of her movies in the future.
