I grew up watching and listening to great stand-up comedians. George Carlin, Mitch Hedberg, Eddie Izzard, Robin Williams, Iliza Schlesinger, Tom Segura and more... my standards are pretty high. Hannah is not absolutely dreadful but she is not very good either.
Let me put it out there, I do not watch Summer House. I've never seen a single episode. When I originally started watching this comedy special I had no idea who she is but thought recognized her. Only because I do watch Bravo so I had probably seen her in a commercial. I don't know who she is so I'm not holding any grudges from that show good or bad.
Firstly, if she possibly sees this review...if you get another opportunity to record a comedy special please wear something that you don't have to pull-up, fidget with or adjust every 30 seconds. Literally every 30 seconds she is pulling up her strapless top. It's distracting and annoying. When she's not pulling up her top she's touching her hair. Next time wear a top with straps or tape it on/up!
The material was boring. I watched the entire show and don't think I laughed at all. Was it awful? Not really. Was it hilariously funny? No not really. I know she was performing in front of a live audience (we occasionally saw) but it sounded like a crappy laugh track.
I'll stick with Iliza, Taylor Tomlinson, Leanne Morgan, Amy Madigan or Fortune Feinstein if I want a funny female comedian.
Plot summary
This special aims to make the audience laugh hysterically and forget their troubles.

Not great...
Hannah is for girlies that didn't learn their manners (love that)
About a year ago, Hannah popped up on my TikTok feed and I hyped her up to all my friends who enjoy watching comedy clips. Then, I started listening to Giggly Squad and have a permanent stomachache from how much Hannah and Paige make me laugh every week. I'm constantly repeating their bits to my family and friends.
Hannah is hilarious, so long as you're not a prude, judgmental, lame-o. This Netflix special served her usual raunchy, giggly, best girl stories and had me grinning the whole way through. Here's to riding at dawn with all the other galloping gigglers. Try not to embarrass Hannah with these reviews like Des did at the Italian restaurant.
Old-people's humour.
I thought my gran would find this boring, so I showed it to her. Gran's 87 and described it as "not very funny". She does love Doug Stanhope, so that's a measure of what she DOES find funny.
This is just miserable and often painful. Reeks of stage school, she's got the "confident" pose and brushes her hair back from her face often. Delivers here dialogue confidently and mostly with good diction. The material is dire though, nothing you couldn't see in your local comedy club delivered by your (painfully) average local comedian. I guess these are quite cheap to put together for Netflix or Amazon so the only real cost involved is the human one - and that dear reader is US. If I paid for streaming I would complain.
