I just happened to come across it. Here are my impressions in a nutshell;
It's as if the leading gentlemen never grew up after high school. Who was always a teenager, who couldn't stop drinking and smoking and who also think they are cool for it. They constantly invent and say aphorisms. In general, the movie has an underground literature feel to it. But when I was watching the movie, I felt so ashamed and cringe for them in most of the scenes and I had to stop and pour a cup of tea. It is absurd to use English phrases while talking Turkish like a wannabe.
Back to the movie, these gentlemen go for a motorcycle ride they go to Olympos and there Mr. Kaan makes eye contact with Ms. Sevda. At the first motel they stop at, they get a room with Sevda. That follows a series of unprotected sexual encounters but Sevda does not tell them that she is engaged.
The funniest thing is later Sevda tells her fiancé that she cheated. But her fiancé, who has zero self-esteem, won't break up with her. He says we'll get through this, it's a disgrace.
Meanwhile, the publishers and authors no explanation of the fate of the texts he brought in and Mete's alcoholism is presented as an important issue and left hanging. Many of the scenes shown are not connected to each other and are independent of the story. It doesn't make sense.
I saw the first movie when I was young and I remember I liked it better. Maybe because it's in line with their rebellious thoughts.
Anyway, it seems that I'm not the audience for this movie, maybe adolescents and adults who haven't outgrown puberty may like it.
5/10 for the quality of some scenes.
