Even though I really liked the first movie and I was really enjoying this one too my stomach got in knots when the plot got too dark. There is nothing funny about being in a dangerous situation like that, I don't want to give away any spoilers.

Thankfully the movie did turn back into a comedy.

Like in the first movie, the characters have arcs and they are very comedic.

Unfortunately the middle part is too long and a little too "Clockwork Orange". Making this movie longer than the first one wasn't a bad idea but adding soooo much darkness in the middle to achieve that was.

By the way, there is zero polo in this one. For a movie about a polo team that is just not good.

The movie is well made and the stands against Russian homophobic politics are of course greatly appreciated.
