I had to put on subtitles for this. For a talky romantic comedy with no explosions. Christopher Nolan this is not.

Directors: pay attention to audio. At this point, we're nearly back to silent film with how badly y'all handle this stuff. Movie watchers all watched the explainer about why movie audio is so bad these days. Did movie directors? You should. I don't care if your actors want to sound more "naturalistic" with their mumbles and their whispers. They have a job to do and they are not doing it if I can't hear the words coming out of their mouths.

Avoid at all costs. Was so excited to see the cast then just couldn't believe it is such a boring long moving about nothing. Nothing happens and everyone is just lost in their own selfish horrible relationships world of messy broken people just wandering around the movie like lost souls. Even the actors look bored acting such a bad script. Shame shame shame. Not worth ur time not worth the plot no feel Good moment nor jokes nor laughs just a blah blah blah movie that does nothing for you. Just skip it. Wonder what they were thinking when they wrote it. Zero effort given by everyone involved. Booooo.

In abysmal NY so-called rom-com "Maybe I Do" Emma Roberts & Luke Bracey (meh) struggle with whether to wed or not, as he doubts true love lasts. The twist is that her dad Richard Gere's having an affair with his mum Susan Sarandon, while her mum Diane Keaton (poor again) had a one night fling (albeit platonic) with his dad William H Macy (the only bright spark here)... then they all have dinner together. If these 'coincidences' aren't implausible enough, it's also bogged in the most awful rambling dialogue that no real person would ever speak. Writer / director Michael Jacobs' first movie is SO painful an experience, it has to be hoped it's his last. A turd. Flush.
