A glorious tribute to General Aviation

One Six Right is a beautiful film that captures clearly the love of aviation. The types of aircraft, the pilots interviews, the beautiful musical score work together to show the viewer why people want to fly. The flying sequences are fantastic, the camera follows the aircraft with glorious clouds in the background and moves above the air craft to show golden Terra for ma below. I loved the guitar music, classical guitar with harmonic tones that were ethereal, and fit well the sense of flying. There are elements of this documentary that follow the standard form of interviews, history, demonstration, and cautioning the viewer to protect municipal air field from eradication in favor of urban sprawl. I am grateful to the filmmaker Terwilliger'interviewees for explaining the value of the Pilot Log Book. My brother and I are going over the log book our father left us with greater meaning for the two of us.

inspiring, moving, insightful, and more

I just finished watching my copy of the above DVD for the third time, and it still brings me to tears numerous times during the show. It's just awesome, folks! The Score is inspiring, moving. And the photography is superb, incredible.

Brian Terwilliger's commentary was part of a 30 minute show on the Outdoor Channel last weekend, and I was shocked to see an apparently very young man talking - Mr. Terwilliger! I had imagined that Sidney Pollack (or some other high dollar Hollywood type) had put this very insightful, skillfully crafted movie together - Not So!! Amazing. Wonderful.

Also, thanks for taking a clear shot at "mayor" Daly and his brutal attack on Meigs Field. I had hoped to land there someday (I fly a '75 Piper Arrow), now it will not be. Daly's attack reminds me of the stuff we used to scoop out of the chicken house.

I'll be sharing this DVD around, and would like a dozen more copies for the same - people need to see and experience One Six Right.

Thanks again, N33867

One Six Right WOW!

I just saw this documentary on our local PBS and it was beautifully crafted! Congratulations to all involved in making this moving piece of flying history. I've always wanted to earn my pilot's license but have not had the chance. At least I can dream through this well written and beautifully shot story. I am always interested in our history and especially in the history and struggles of aviation. I was and am especially interested in the reasons behind the "extinction" of our small airports. I had no idea how we lose one a week to development. Too bad this is called "progress". Thank you Terwilliger Productions and everyone involved. I wish all of you the best in future documentary projects and keep up your excellent work.
