This movie was well done and moving and my rating would have been higher if Lost in Translation did not exist. And this film is essentially the same exact plot and themes and characters and interactions etc as Lost in Translation. Only a different setting for it to take place in. And since it has been so long and many who see this movie have not seen Lost it will work well. And if you loved Lost and want a very similar experience, you'll love it. Hell I enjoyed it. But it was not original. I mean. Couple on a getaway. The husband is a workaholic and Type A who has little time for his young wife. She's alone for a week and finds someone else to occupy her time and The inevitable Romantic tension ensue as they realize they have chemistry and Soemthing that is lacking from her marriage. Even the ending sans the cryptic whisper in her ear. But I have not seen anything original and well done out of Hollywood in years. Seems Hollywood has embraced the tried and true formula and the masses seem to want that. And Indy theater is dying. As are the old theaters. Even this one. It's well done. But not original. But again enough time has Passed and not that many people saw Lost that this will seem like a well done movie ( which it is) that they have not seen similar before.

Lost in Translation - Jackson Hole Version
One of the best movies I've seen in a long time
An absolutely beautiful movie. Bravo to the entire cast, crew, and production team. This movie was so soulful and down to earth without trying. The cinematography was breathtaking and the music and tone throughout the movie was just perfect.
I think this movie tapped into a modern struggle that a lot of older millennials are currently having, which is a life of freedom/meaning/passion and connection to the world/nature vs. Society's expectations of domestication and homogeneity.
I also loved that we got 2 different character perspectives. The one of the lead female character and the one of the lead male character. Two people in very different places in life joined by similar struggles and desires.
