Dog Bread Dog

Obviously a riff on the dog eat dog quote ... so no pun intended. This is a "catastrophe movie" (if you remember or have seen some of them way back in the day, mostly in the 70s and maybe 80s, though coming back from time to time, San Andreas one of the "newer" ones) ... packed with some bite ... I mean dogs, to spice things up ... not in a eating them ... I won't even go there with a joke ... especially because the dogs are the ones attacking.

The story is quite paper thin ... but there is one side character ... when he is introduced I didn't really like him ... he is quite sleazy and tries to rip our main character off ... but later he becomes a really fun comical character who almost single-handedly saves the movie.

Characters doing stuff that does not make much sense ... but suspend your disbelief and you'll be good I reckon ... this is about having fun with a ridiculous idea ... nothing more, nothing less.

Horror dogs

By reading the Chinese name of this Korean movie, think that it would be similar to the famous train to Seoul. However, the plot is quite weak and it is quite disappointed to watch this movie. The plot is about a secret government department which has developed war-dog to fight in real wars, but there are some bad products and they needed to be discarded. Unfortunately the car went through the mist on a bridge and the crash broken the car and the dogs were released, and some of them even did not obey the orders of the soldiers. There are many fight scenes with the dogs as the people were struggled how to survive. Even the rescuing soldiers could not win against the dogs and some of them were sacrificed. Finally with the destruction of the bridge, all dogs were drown (except the mother dog) and this news were released to the public. It is a pity that the main actor has already went to heaven....

you like disaster movies...?

Then this might be one to watch. Its south korean, its heavily edged by S. K. cultural and ritual behaviour of typical hierarchical submission, but that put aside, a mean dog production, on a long bay bridge on a foggy night in seoul.

For the squemish viewer there are loads of hitches and glitches, and the cgi nerd will barf at moments, but for the average novice this might be a great initiation to the disaster action genre.

The cast consists of well known and tough south korean actors, they do a fine job, cosidering script and screenplay ditches, and loads of green room filming, the beasts though aint the best cgi clones that iv seen, but they bite decently, and may even sting a canine-lover to scream ''kill it''.

So if you should go for south korean tonight, try '' silent project'' , it made my time, the grumpy old mans, fly.
