One of, if not the best sci-fi comedy series of all time

My thoughts on each individual arc of the show:

Blood Gulch Chronicles - The early developing seasons of the show where they find their footing and figure out where they want to take the series. The first season kind of feels meandering at times, but by season two things stay relatively consistent up until the end of season five. Kind of a slow start at first but it'll be worth the effort later on.

The Recollection - Comedy is still a big factor in the show during this arc; but in these seasons the story really kicks into gear and gets interesting, exploring the lingering effects of Project Freelancer. On top of having Monty Oum's incredible fight animation in season 8, this arc puts RvB into a league of its own.

Project Freelancer Saga - These seasons explore the history of Project Freelancer, and wraps up a ten year journey in an incredibly satisfying finale. The season 10 finale actually made me cry, and it pays off to be a long-time viewer in the end as everything comes together in the end. Top it off with even more of Monty Oum's animation, and this marks an incredibly satisfying conclusion if you decided to stop watching here.

The Chorus Trilogy - Longtime series writer Burnie Burns left writing duties for these seasons to newcomer Miles Luna, and he doesn't disappoint. Along with two of the show's possibly best villains and some of the best writing this series has seen yet, this is an incredible trilogy that raises the stakes for the Reds and Blues, as well as cementing RvB as one of the best shows of all time.

Season 14 - A serviceable enough anthology season, though I would've liked more canon content.

The Shisno Trilogy - These seasons weren't envisioned as a trilogy at first, only retroactively. Season 15 is fine, albeit a bit too long and with a few plot points that are kind of useless. The Shisno Paradox was infuriating at times because of how some characters were written, but was still funny at the very least. Singularity managed to clean up Shisno Paradox's problems and managed to wrap everything up in a somewhat satisfying way.

Zero - Terribly written characters, an infuriatingly bad plot, just complete and utter garbage all around. The fight animations were decent, at least those will look good on everyone's portfolios, because that's what it seems like they put their effort in for.

Seasons 1 to 13 are like the golden years for this show, but after the Shisno Trilogy and especially after Zero, I'm afraid this show's best years are behind it. Fun while it lasted, but I'll always come back to the seasons that were actually great.

Watch it whenever you have the chance.

A full playlist can be found on YouTube containing every season. Red vs Blue is an absolutely amazing show, a true diamond. You will laugh- a lot - and sometimes you will cry. It begins as a simple comedy show, with jokes about Halo, but as it progresses it becomes something far more special, with characters you get attached to and a story arc that you are invested in. My advice to watch is to ignore almost everything after season 13. There are some good moments, but there's also an unnecessarily confusing time travel story in seasons 16 and 17. Season 14 is an anthology season, with some great laughs in it. Overall, I would highly recommend this series to anyone, no matter their interests.

A surprisingly deep comedy

When I first started watching this show, I thought it was going to be simple minded, cheap laughs, and poor plot. Red Vs Blue is none of those things.

The characters of this show are lovable. Even the villains of it are interesting and have seasons worth of backstory that makes you devoted to them. They actually build up characters better than most shows on TV.

The show has a lot of very funny adventures that are fillers BUT the plot to this show is actually amazing. You wouldn't expect a show on youtube with a video game being the main foundation to how it is filmed to be that complex of a show, but it is. It tackles subjects like identity, love, and tragedy in such a beautiful manner that I am surprised the show is not more widely known.

I never expected Red Vs Blue to be gripping but I was pleasantly surprised.
