The movie was okay. Slow moving. First, I wondered why Rebecca and Grace didn't have jobs. Second, shouldn't she have received a Military Death Benefit lump sum, and subsequent monthly payments? If that were the case, I can't believe that things would have been so dire.

I completely agree with rugle1's review. As someone who works in finance, this movie absolutely did my head in. Why wasn't the mother looking for a job? Why didn't they move out and rent out the ranch until they got back on their feet? What kind of a congregation has that much money that they can pay off someone's mortgage!

I can't imagine that someone would be that passive in such a dire situation. It is such a poor lesson for her daughter.
