Despite of the bold plot which might not be pleasant for many, film never fails to entertain. The direction of Hitesh Kewalya is good and the dialogues are lit as it provides plenty of laughs. Ayushman's acting is just hitting the spot as it is required not above not below just as required according to the plot and supported well by Jitendra Kumar. The reason to like this movie is the relatable family drama and Chaos in joint family system especially in small towns. Once again the chemistry of Neena Gupta & Gajraj Rao is something to watch. Manu Rishi & Sunita Rajwar as Chacha Chachi never disappoints. Special mention to Maanvi Gagroo as Goggle she was funny, beautiful and sympathetic right from the first scene. All in all the movie is entertaining and will surely provide you good laughs.

Movie Reviews
Good Joint Family System Drama
Funny movie
Don't understand all the negative review. Movie was pretty funny - little bit of drag or preachy in between, but it is kind of needed for homophobic brain washed people. Most of us in India have been brought up in this manner - education, family, friends etc all these factors points towards making fun of homosexual people. See I got preachy too .... this movie was kind of targeting such audiences to open up their eyes. Anyhow this is no brainer, full time pass, comedy drama movie. Highly recommend.
Microsystem makes mesosystem and then exo and macrosystem. So, what favors the individual family is most likely the right instinct
What worked: The movie is an very Indian Bollywood movie with elements of comedy, drama and emotional scenes with maybe some extra spice as well. The makers should be highly applauded for the theme of the movie and the way the movie is executed; written and directed. It's the humor of the makers that made even the glorified melodramatic scenes reasonable and fun to watch. The screenplay is well done, and the narrative seemed to stay on balanced spot to explore a very pivotal subject in a not so liberal system. What makes the movie even special is allowing the space for the parents to convey their shock ,doubts and their weaknesses.Overall, the movie delivers its message and keeps the audience hooked in its storytelling. What did not work: One of the biggest concerns for me was the kiss scenes between the two lead actors;once in train and the other in the marriage ceremony. Although I consider myself liberal and open minded, it was one of the most challenging scenes both for the makers and the viewers. Kissing scenes done in such a celebrated and cinematic way is daring and at the same time inviting biases and extreme reactions. I personally believe the makers could have sent the message without showing the kiss scene or implied of the kiss. It's a shocking scene. I would have liked the movie more if not for the sexuality and sexual orientation and preferences were not so much glamorized or questioned. Ayushman's character is a bit loud as compared to Jitendra. You may argue of course because he represents the dominant alpha male. I disagree, it's still a bit louder than necessary. Besides the real topic of the movie ,maybe the movie has tried to use the topic of sex, romance amongst other lead characters such as the parents story. Somehow they might have overdone at parts. Having said all these, the movie is worth a watch, a family drama with a very progressive and necessary topic. Final verdict: recommended
